EPOS ADAPT Headsets: One Year On

EPOS’ ADAPT Series is one year old today. We take a look back over an exciting 12 months of awards, certifications and innovation.

It’s been exactly a year on since EPOS announced their new co-branded ADAPT headsets line following their rebranding from Sennheiser Communications to EPOS.

Designed to bring a high quality, premium audio solution to the flexible worker, the ADAPT headsets come in five distinct styles designed for all types of remote worker.

The movement towards flexible working has been evident for some years, but at the time of the ADAPT line release last year, we had no idea how important reliable audio, for workers to use anywhere, would be.

As a result, the ADAPT line has experienced a rapid growth in collaborative potential with certifications connecting users to some of the most popular communication platforms and being granted a host of awards along the way.

So, on the anniversary of their release, let’s take a look back at a whirlwind 12 months and how the ADAPT series has been there bringing #ThePowerOfAudio to our homes and offices.

March ‘20

Less than a month after its release, the ADAPT series was quick to start picking up awards.

Even before we waved goodbye to March, the ADAPT 560 won the Red Dot Award for Product Design.

For more than 60 years, the Red Dot Award has judged and honoured the greatest and most innovative designs in business and technology and the 560 was recognised for just that.

The judges stated:

“The high-quality features of the ADAPT 560 headset are elegantly staged by its appealing exterior design.”

This marked an official seal of quality and excellence on a product already pushing the boundaries of versatile audio innovation.

It wasn’t just winning awards that EPOS were busy doing with the ADAPT line throughout 2020.

With the constant desire to innovate and offer workers a fully collaborative solution, EPOS recognised the need to integrate these headsets into the user’s Teams eco-system.

That’s why, in early June, they announced their ADAPT line had been certified for Microsoft Teams.

This made it even easier for users to connect directly to their teams through one of the world’s most effective collaboration tools.

June was a busy month for the ADAPT line. No sooner was the Teams certification announced than a new product to the line was also released.

Enter the ADAPT 460.

The first ever in-ear neckband headset, that EPOS have released, brought a discreet option to the portfolio while retaining all the features of the full over-ear variations.

The neckband sits lightly around the user’s neck and shoulders without getting in the way when not in use. However, when the user receives a call or notification, they’ll be notified by a discreet vibration to alert them without being too invasive or interrupting whatever they may be doing.

The 460 really bridged the gap between the professional and consumer, living up to its series’ namesake and giving your customers the ability to adapt to any environment.

August ‘20

A further two awards were snapped up by two different products within the ADAPT series in August.

The ADAPT 560 went on to collect the 2020 Communications Solutions Products of the Year Award, presented by TMC.

TMC CEO, Rich Tehrani said of the list:

“The list encompasses the true leaders within their market segments. Honourees [EPOS] truly represent the best-of-the-best communication products available today.”

The second award awarded to EPOS for their ADAPT line, in August, went to the ADAPT 660, winning the UC award for Best Endpoint Product 2020.

Not only is the 660 certified for MS Teams, but also fully optimised for UC to keep your customers connected to their network at all times.

December ‘20

The ADAPT 660 picked up a further accolade in December winning the Nikktech Golden Award for outstanding performance.

The 660 represents a development from their successful flagship headset, the MB 660, and is built to give users maximum focus and productivity in noisy environments.  No wonder the ADAPT 660 added this award to the series’ growing list.

January ‘21

Another certification came in January for the ADAPT 360, 460 and 560.

This time these three solutions from the ADAPT line give the user the option to connect to Google Meet and Google Voice sessions.

This Google certification guarantees easy deployment and interoperability with the Google UC environment.

Whether UC, MS Teams or Google Meet, the ADAPT line is giving users a seamless audio experience with easy integration with the communication platforms that use the most.
